The process is like cooking any other kinds of adobo meal. I first removed the balut shells then reserved the broth. In a pan, I sautéed the onion and garlic then added the balut and fried for a minute. Then I added the other ingredients like the soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, pepper and the water. Lastly I added vinegar, broth from the balut, cayenne pepper and sugar to taste.
I made a vinegar with onion and chili dipping I enjoyed eating the balut which I shared with my sister Naomi.
*Balut-A balut (spelled standardized as balot) is a developing duck embryo (fertilized duck egg) that is boiled and eaten in the shell. It originated and is commonly sold as streetfood in the Philippines.
