When we make the trip to visit family, it's always nice to explore the area if you get a chance.

First of all, you might be in the position where you have been asked to go and stay with family at their house. While you know that you want to see them and catch up on all the gossip, staying with them in their house is not ideal.
Maybe they have a big family, and there is not so much room for you. Maybe they are relaxed about their living arrangements? While you can't sleep anywhere unless it's spotless? Maybe you are someone that thrive on having their own personal space and the thought of not being able to get away from your loved ones give you the chills?
Well, if that is the case, it's best to get a holiday rental near to, but not too close to your friends or relatives place. This means it's will be easy to pop and see them anytime. Events and Things To Do
Of course, when you are visiting your relatives it's unlikely that you will want to be hold up in the use with them for the entire time. Luckily there are plenty of exciting things to do in Missouri.
Why not take a day trip up to the birthplace and Elvis in Memphis, Tennessee? There you’ll be able to experience Graceland and soak up the atmosphere. You can even do an Elvis tour like this and check out his house.
Time it right and you could even watch the ultimate Elvis impersonator content. People come from all over the world to enter, and the standard is very high.
If you are more into this historical side of things, then there are plenty of music museums in Memphis to satisfy you. Choose from The Sun Studio, Stax, and Rock 'n Soul and to immerse yourself in the music and recording culture that Memphis is so famous for.
If your taste is for more modern entertainment, then you’ll be pleased to note that big names bands like Beck play the Peabody Opera House this year.
Then there is always St Louis, which is under 300km away. Famed for it noble arch, St Louis is a bustling metropolis will all the usual eating and entertainment and shopping you would expect of big city. So feel free to splurge on a new handbag or some such treat while you are there.
In particular, St Louis is a good place to see the genuine Native American culture that flanks the Mississippi River. It also a great place for any fans of the Science Fiction show Defiance, which is primarily set in this great city, but in the future.
